Floor Tom

The third job I had this weekend was for the drummer of the Mokan Flames. His floor tom is red glitterflake. I loooove glitterflake finishes. His only requirements were orange and red striping, another great customer.

I really like your designs, they are clean, simple (in the good way, mind you) and beautiful. I´ll be checking back to see more!
I just have to take the chance to ask a stupid question here... I´m Swedish, the word "pinstriping" isn´t in my dictionary. I know what it is, I get the general idea, and I know that for example people who do paint designs on cars and trucks are called "pinstripers", but what does the word mean? Where does it come from? Is it a name of a certain technique or is it just the general "painting on a lacquered surface in any technique", or?

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to answer the above question on my blog. It was exactly what I wanted to know. Good luck with your pinstriping!

Now I know what pinstriping is!:) Wow, you must have a steady hand. This is obviously a young person's job. Great work. Looking forward to more.
